Let me tell you mine

I’ll start at the beginning . . .

What does Storyteller do?

Use the right tools for the job

Like a lot of jobs, engaging and persuading an audience, means using the right tools.

Using a mix of writing style, effective language and good design, even the most complex business topics can be transformed into readable content. This is what I bring to the work I have done for many businesses: helping to make that engagement possible with a range of creative and strategic tools.

Now you can learn the top tips of professional writers and designers with the Storyteller Communications eLearning course and make your content immediately more engaging.

Content that works means knowing what to do to attract your reader.
I like to simplify the complex and take away the mystery of communicating well. I’ve been doing this for some time, and I’d like to show you how you can do it.
Being able to hook your reader is the difference between a sale and silence. Storyteller training will get you off to a great start

Is it for you?

If you’re a small business owner or a micro-biz, you do all the jobs: that’s just the nature of it. You do the strategy and selling. You do the numbers, and you take out the mail. And I bet you have to make your own tea for heaven’s sake.

Because I understand this first-hand, I’ve created Storyteller training so you can feel more confident about creating your own business content. Do get in touch to find out how.

Be heard

You’ve created it from scratch: I take my hat off to you. You definitely do know the craft of your business – it’s what you do best.

But you may well need some help packaging that all up in a way that your customers can ‘hear.’

This is where good content is important. Get in touch to ask how Storyteller can give you the edge.

Make connections

You know that ‘gut’ feeling you get when you’re moved by something? We’ve been hard wired that way. And it’s not your gut, it’s your brain.

Storyteller Communications uses this understanding to engage the reader and can show you how to improve your business content.

Learn a new skill

If you’d like to learn to create more engaging content for business, it’s what I’ll be teaching online through Storyteller School using my accessible 5-step formula.

With this, you’ll get your own toolkit to put into practice in your own business.

If you’d like to learn these skills do get in touch.

My work

Career and clients

Covering topics from nanotechnology, to the arts, cyber security, healthcare and IT, I’ve worked with FTSE 100 companies, central government , and UK wide public sector providers.

Creating engaging content has been the connecting thread across them all.

My focus is turning complex concepts into easy to grasp content. Whether working with national business change programmes, to small local NHS support teams, a multi-national management consultancy and a global university publisher, I’ve helped them and now you can learn how to create the same quality content.

A small but globally engaging idea

In 2004, I launched a fashion micro-brand, opening a shop in 2005 and launching my first e-commerce site in 2007.

Ahead of the digital curve and high-street fashion brands, I created an engagement-driven social-commerce model. This successfully attracted a global membership club of fans and customers.

Mouse to Minx was listed on the top 50 on the web in 2008 and appeared in editorial in a number of local, regional and national fashion glossies for a number of years. I was also interviewed for a handful of features, appearing on the cover of West Country Life twice.

However, the great recession of 2008 had other ideas.
